Cloud computing: the short review of services

One of the most promising and rapidly developing spheres of Internet services is cloud computing. What is сloud сomputing? Cloud (cloud computing) is the technology of distributed data processing. Its feature consists that the user receives computer resources as an Internet service. "Cloud" is an allegorical name of a world wide web in which the technical moments of work of the appendix are hidden. The user has access to own information, and also has possibility to store and edit the information. Thus the user doesn't bear expenses for infrastructure and software maintenance.

The story of cloud computing began in the late 20th century when it was suggested connecting all the inhabitants of the globe to network and computing power will be offered to them as a service. Rapid development of the Internet, computer technologies (occurrence of multinuclear processors, growth of capacity of stores of the information), software creation has led to that the majority of users of a network are involved today in cloud services. Various appendices of Google, Amazon and other participants of the market of cloudy calculations were included into life of users of Internet space.

Cloud technologies offer customers the services of various types: 1. Everything as a Service. Access to a network is necessary only for the user, the rest (of management of processes) is given by the cloud company. 2. Infrastructure as a service. The user independently adjusts a network of virtual computers under the needs. 3. Platform as a service. The platform with the established operating system and the software is given to the user. 4. Software as a service (Saas). The user of this type of service via the Internet has access to software hosted on remote servers. Thus all questions are removed from the user on licensing and updates. 5. Hardware as a Service. The user rents the equipment, but at the same time he chooses the appropriate software and create their own infrastructure. 6. Workplace as a Service. Clouds are used for the organization of workplaces of the personnel. 7. Data as a Service. The user can store great volumes of the information on the disk space given by a cloud. 8. Security as a Service. Users of service of this type can save money on maintenance of own information security as the cloud incurs protection of the client against many troubles (for example, viruses and spam).

Cloud computing possess a considerable quantity of the attractive parties for users. They are available to anyone who has access to the Internet. The user may be mobile, for work as he does not need anything other than a computer and access to the network. The rest (the software, licenses, servers) is care of the cloud companies. The flexibility of cloud computing, the big computing capacities and their reliability allow the user to store and use any quantity of the information.
